For his Master’s thesis, Lars teamed up with the Tamm and Frank research groups to carry out an in-depth photophysical study of trigonal Cu(I) complexes. Their results have just appeared in JACS Au under the title Photoactive Neutral Three-Coordinate Cu(I) Complexes of Anionic N-Heterocyclic Carbenes Enjoy the read!May, 2025

Great success for Moritz. His application for a Kekulé scholarship for PhD students was successfull. The Fonds der Chemischen Industrie (FCI) will support him in the next 3 years. Congratulations.Welcome to the Tschierlei Research Group
We are part of the Institute of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry at the Technische Universität Braunschweig. Our interest lies in the fundamental understanding and comprehensive characterization of photoinduced processes as well as the dynamics of excited states of different metal complexes. Furthermore, the investigation of photosensitizers and photocatalysts regarding their application in the field of solar energy conversion represents a key issue.
